Slimming aid looks to call time on snacking
An Edinburgh entrepreneur has launched an electronic slimming aid and habit trainer in a bid to help users cut down on snacking.
Liz Casely created the Slissie system when she realized she needed a helping hand to cut snacking and lose weight after having her two children.
The businesswoman, who had a successful career in investment and finance in London and Edinburgh prior to setting up her company, Slim Lizzie, has secured support form Entrepreneurial Spark and help from financial backers to bring her products to the market.
Casely said: "Over 100 women have tested Slissie in trials and the results have been fantastic. I'm very excited to be bringing this product to market to help anyone wanting to eat more healthily and make better choices."
The product works by delivering a burst of appetite suppressing flavour to distract the user from snacking. Designed to look like a tube of mascara, Slissie is available with four calorie-free flavours, including chocolate.
Slissie is available for purchase here.
